Jeff M. Lewis (CEO, right) Jeff Lewis is a California-based landscape artist and meteorologist. He has been a full-time professional since 2014, and passionately exploring and photographing for over a decade. He typically spends over 100 days in the field each year, and his work tells stories that go overlooked by other artists. His work has been featured by Adobe, UCLA, Marin Magazine, the Official California Visitor’s Guide, the Sierra Club, and Backpacker Magazine, and his prints hang in premier homes around the world. With a B.S. in meteorology from UCLA, Jeff is a leader of the emerging field of scenic meteorology: the study and analysis of the aesthetic qualities of weather features. Jeff uses satellite images, weather models, and our patented Escaype cloud and light model to predict when and where the best light will occur. He also sleeps with 400 stuffed animals at home and cooks a mean pasta bake.

Tung X. Dao (CTO, left) earned his Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from UCLA in 2011, then went on to earn his Master's in Aerospace Engineering at San Jose State University in 2013. He has provided services for NASA, among others. Tung is a studio photographer and spends much of his free time coding and coming up with innovative solutions to technological problems. Tung is the mastermind behind the Escaype code. He also grows ghost peppers in his backyard and eats them whole.

Now, put those two together, and what do you get? Lots of knee-slapper jokes, for sure. And freakishly accurate sunset and weather forecasts.
